Best wishes :)

Helloz !!
Yes, that's my messy crafty place with a bowl of Maggie beside :P

Today I will be sharing a Best wishes card I made with color papers , quilled flowers and pearl white stones.
First I cut the color papers and to select the papers I took cue from
and pasted them according to the below sketch from MFT challenges.

I cut the circle myself from a white ivory card base. Pasted the glue back crystals around it . Then I made the quilled flowers from Red and yellow quilling strips and attached them as shown.
I stamped the flowers and the sentiments.
Used some quilling strips to make little ladders along the sides :D

Thank you Teacher !

Hello my dear crafters  :)

I made this layered card tonight for my neighbour's son as he wanted something to gift his teacher on the upcoming teacher's day here . It's on September 5 and is celebrated in the honour of the late honourable first president of India  Dr. Sarvapalli Radhakrishnan who was also a great teacher of the time .

The centre image with the inbuilt sentiment is a digital printed one . I stamped the borders and colored them with colour markers. The borders are scored with scale and the wavy borders are hand drawn . Attached a sequinned lace to one side of the layer.
The colored papers which are used for layers are of 80gsm. The base card is from ivory card stock.

I will be adding more pictures of the card tomorrow morning clicked in proper lighting.

A tribute to my Nation

India became independent on 15th August 1947 ... and the big day is approaching .
So dedicating this card to my motherland ❤️
I have made this card taking cue from the tricolor that adorns our national flag I.e Orange ,White and Green.

Orange stands for courage, bravery and boldness.. white for peace and Green for prosperity . The colors also aim to bind  all religions, castes and creeds together :)
Proud to be born in a country that is a fine amalgamation of ancient and modern.. where values , traditions and science don't collide but make a beautiful collage :)

This card indicates that even though the butterfly is  on a palm .. it's free to move around and explore its own sweet world . It's happy , independent and still grounded :)

Hand stamped the Palm :D and splattered the watercolors using a brush.

Fun with Flowers

Happy Tuesday !!
Here is a card I made yesterday.
The base is an ivory card stock.  The layered background is made with Pink and yellow chart papers.
Then I further layered it with tissue paper to add some texture.
Made some quilled flowers and leaves with handmade quilling strips from a manual shredder machine.
Colored the same using subtle water colors in pastel shades.
Scored the background papers with dashed lines using a scale.
Lined the upper and lower border of the central layer using handmade quilled bubbles.
